At Sychar Healing Ministries, we believe that no child should grow up alone, abandoned, or unloved. Yet in many villages across Namutumba and beyond, we continue to witness the heartbreaking realities of orphaned and vulnerable children—many of whom have lost their parents to disease, poverty, or domestic conflict.

Our Sychar Orphanage Project was born out of compassion and faith. It is a response to the cries of the most innocent and helpless among us. Our dream is to create a safe, loving, and faith-filled home for children who have nowhere else to go—a place where they can grow, heal, and discover their God-given purpose.

Our Vision

To raise up a generation of children who were once forgotten but now empowered to become leaders, healers, and changemakers in their communities through love, education, and faith.

What We Offer

A Safe Home
A secure, nurturing environment where children are protected from abuse, neglect, and the dangers of the streets.
Education and Mentorship
We ensure every child goes to school and receives the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty. We also provide spiritual mentorship and life-skills training.
•Nutritious Meals and Healthcare
We provide regular meals, clean water, medical care, and counseling services to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of every child.
Family and Belonging
Our home is more than a shelter—it is a family. We encourage love, unity, and shared responsibilities so that children grow up knowing they are valued and not alone.
Spiritual Nurture
Every child is introduced to the love of Christ through prayer, worship, and Biblical teaching. We believe true transformation begins with a relationship with God.

Our Current Needs

We are still in the early stages of this project, and the needs are great. We are believing God for:

A permanent building with dormitories, classrooms, a dining hall, and bathrooms
Beds, mattresses, bedding, clothes, and school supplies
Staff salaries for caregivers, teachers, and cooks
Food, medical supplies, and clean water
A playground and space for children to play, laugh, and heal
